Volunteer Time
- The following list of volunteer activities identifies some of the events that we have participated in with our elementary, middle, and high school Partners in Education:
- Judges for essay contests, geography bee and spelling bee.
- Classroom reader/aide
- Volunteer at school events: fairs, picnics, luncheons, performances, etc…
- In class presentations on study skills grades 5-12
- Parent Lunch N Learn presentations at the school or in our center
- Principal for a Day
- Provide staff treats
- Sit on LSAC Committees
- Small-group tutoring in Partner Schools
Special Events
- Our annual "You Make a Difference" awards reception. This award is given to teachers who have been nominated by students at our center for the special contribution they have made to that child's life.
- Sponsors of an "Outstanding Academic Growth Award." This award is teacher nominated and given to the student who has shown tremendous academic growth through out the year(s). To be given at the end of year award ceremonies.
- Sponsor one teacher or staff member that is nominated by their peers as the professional of the month with a gift basket.
